The World: New York - Interpublic posts fourth-quarter revenue rise

The Interpublic Group has announced its fourth-quarter financial results, revealing an organic revenue growth of 1.7 per cent, compared with fourth-quarter results from the previous year.

Its fourth-quarter revenue rose from $1.88 billion to $1.98 billion, while its full-year revenue was $6.55 billion, compared with £6.19 billion in 2006.

IPG's net income applicable to common stockholders jumped to $131.3 million in 2007, compared with a loss of $79.3 million in 2006.

Michael Roth, the IPG chairman and chief executive, said: "Our results from 2007 demonstrate continued progress in competitiveness or our offerings."
