The World: New York - IPG set to combine Lowe Worldwide and Deutsch

Interpublic Group, the marketing communications group run by Michael Roth, has announced that it is to combine its Lowe Worldwide and Deutsch operations.

The venture, named Deutsch Inc., a Lowe & Partners Company, will be led by the Deutsch chief executive, Linda Sawyer, with the creative department being overseen by the new chief creative officer, Greg DiNoto.

Mark Wnek, Lowe New York's chairman and chief creative officer, will not join Deutsch. He will take on a global role that will allow him to focus on selected multinational clients.

Peter Nicholson, the chief creative officer at Deutsch, has left as a result of the merger.
