The World: New York - IPG takes majority stake in design company Huge

Interpublic has taken a majority stake in the New York-based web design company Huge.

IPG has a 51 per cent share of the agency, which has 130 staff working out of offices in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Atlanta and London.

Founded in 1999, Huge's client list includes British Airways, Ikea, Nokia, AOL and Warner Music Group.

Michael Roth, the IPG chief executive, said: "We see significant opportunities for Huge to partner with our agencies, expand its geographic footprint and deliver its e-commerce platforms to many of our clients."
