The World: New York - Kellogg calls pitch for $400m media business

Kellogg is reviewing its $400 million media account in the US.

The cereal manufacturer said it is reviewing the account, which is currently held by Starcom USA, as part of a regular review process to strengthen its offering.

Kellogg declined to confirm which media shops would be involved in pitching for the business. Creative responsibilities, which are handled by Leo Burnett Worldwide, are not included in the review.

Kellogg has recently appointed a new chief executive, Jim Jenness, who has been briefed to find ways to cut costs and continue the strong financial growth that saw the company's sales rise by 9.1 per cent to $9.8 billion last year.
