The World: New York - Kodak hands inkjet printer business to Deutsch

Kodak has handed Deutsch the creative and media accounts for its line of inkjet printers. Deutsch picked up the business from the incumbent, Ogilvy & Mather, without a pitch.

The account move will not affect Ogilvy & Mather's position as the lead creative agency on Kodak's consumer ads in the US and overseas.

The inkjet printer account is thought to be worth between $40 million and $50 million. However, Kodak's total major media spending has fallen substantially this year.

Deutsch's first work for Kodak is due to be released in the first quarter of 2009.
