The World: New York - Lowe's Nancy Hill to head US ad trade body

Nancy Hill, the former Lowe North American chief executive, is set to be named as the new head of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

She will succeed Burtch Drake, who is retiring after 14 years as the chief executive of the US industry trade body.

Hill left Lowe in September after 15 months. During her tenure, the agency streamlined its structure, but generated little significant new business, which was one of her responsibilities.

She joins the AAAA amid claims by some members that the digital age has left it behind, and that its "clubby" atmosphere is out of date in a constantly changing media world.
