The World: New York - Nancy Hill quits Lowe after one year as CEO

Nancy Hill, the chief executive of Lowe North America, is leaving the agency, just over a year after she joined. It is understood that she is departing the role without a job to go to.

Rather than appointing a replacement, Lowe's president, Sal Taibi, and the chairman and chief creative officer, Mark Wnek, will be taking on her responsibilities.

Hill, the former vice-president and managing director at BBDO in New York, took on the role partnering Wnek at Lowe in June 2006.

Her departure comes shortly after Lowe announced plans to make around 60 staff redundant owing to the loss of its General Motors GMC business.
