The World: New York - Neil French unveils World Press Awards ceremony

Neil French (pictured), the former WPP global creative consultant, is launching a new global awards ceremony for print advertising in partnership with Barbara Levy, the president of the London International Awards.

Details of the ceremony, called the World Press Awards, are yet to be finalised, but French has already started recruiting judges from around the world.

Because it is a print show, the sponsorship will come predominantly from newspapers and magazines.

French has a long-standing connection with the London Awards and Levy. He was the president of the show's jury in 2001 and again in 2005.
