The World: New York - Ogilvy chief Carla Hendra leads speciality unit

Carla Hendra, the chief executive of Ogilvy North America, is set to leave her role to take a new position that will see her lead a speciality unit that the WPP Group is launching next year.

Reporting to Ogilvy's global chief executive, Miles Young, Hendra will now be responsible for helping to develop strategy and innovation at Ogilvy around the world, as well as helping the agency move beyond marketing and into client business consulting.

Hendra's move means that Ogilvy's US operations will now solely be led by its North American chairman, John Seifert.
