The World: New York - Publicis hands ECD post to Ogilvy's Joe Johnson

Publicis New York has appointed Ogilvy New York's creative director, Joe Johnson, as its new executive creative director.

Johnson will be responsible for overseeing the agency's creative work on campaigns for Procter & Gamble's Vicks brand.

Johnson had spent 22 years at Ogilvy, where he created award-winning work for clients including American Express, Miller Lite and New York Mets.

Joe McCarthy, the chief executive of Publicis New York, said: "We are thrilled to have Joe as a key creative leader within Publicis. He will play a big role in helping us up our game."
