The World: New York - Publicis wins creative account for Corona Light

Crown Imports, the alcoholic drinks manufacturer, has handed Publicis the creative account for its Corona Light range.

The brand awarded Publicis the account without a pitch, and has asked the agency to develop a distinct image for the brand, which has not previously been marketed separately from the Corona Extra range. The independent Chicago agency Cramer-Krasselt, which has previously produced all work for Corona, will continue to handle the Corona Extra account.

Corona Light is the leading imported light beer in the US. The brand experienced growth of about 3.6 per cent in 2008, selling 12.6 million cases.
