The World: New York - Salzman quits JWT for Porter Novelli partner role

Marian Salzman, the worldwide chief marketing officer at JWT, is leaving to become a partner at the Omnicom-owned PR agency Porter Novelli.

Salzman had been a consultant at JWT before being appointed the director of strategic content in May 2005. In February 2006, she became the chief marketing officer with responsibility for multinational and global pitches, and played a key role in JWT's capture of Nokia's £74 million global account in August last year.

In a message to staff, Bob Jeffrey, JWT's worldwide chief executive, praised Salzman for her help in making JWT "become a more multicultural organisation".
