The decision means that the agency will add the Staples accounts in the UK and Canada to its existing $130 million US assignment.
The WPP-owned MediaCom saw off competition from Publicis Groupe's Zenith Media and Interpublic's Universal McCann to win the business. The Canadian and UK accounts were handled by Universal and Zenith respectively.
The review did not include creative work that is handled by McCann Erickson in New York. Ads in recent years have featured a large Staples "easy" button, which claims to solve all office supply problems.
