The World: New York Taxi appoints John Berg to run New York agency

The Canadian-based advertising agency group Taxi has hired the industry veteran John Berg, formerly the president of Euro RSCG Worldwide, to run its New York office.

Paul LaVoie, Taxi's chairman and chief executive, said Berg would work closely with the presidents of the other Taxi offices, in Toronto and Calgary, in managing the agency and building the client base.

Berg, who left his post at Euro RSCG in mid-2004, has recently been running Bulldog New York, a marketing company he helped to launch.

Before moving to Euro RSCG, he was the president of DDB New York.
