The World: New York - Ty Montague named as JWT creative chief

J. Walter Thompson has appointed Ty Montague as its executive vice-president, chief creative officer and co-president of the agency's New York office.

Montague, 41, joins JWT from Wieden & Kennedy New York, where he masterminded Beta-7, a four-month hoax campaign for Sega.

Wieden & Kennedy has announced that Kevin Proudfoot, a five-year W&K staffer, will replace Montague, leading the agency with Todd Waterbury.
