The World: New York - Visa hands $340m business to TBWA\Chiat\Day

Visa USA has dropped BBDO from its $340 million advertising account and handed it to TBWA\Chiat\Day after a three-way pitch that also included Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

Visa took the decision to call a pitch when BBDO picked up the $600 million Bank of America account, which owns the credit-card company MBNA.

Visa has also recently made a number of high-profile management changes, bringing in John Philip Coghlan as the chief executive and Susanne Lyons as the chief marketing officer.
