The World: New York - Young & Rubicam awarded more Mattel work

Mattel, the global toy company, has awarded Young & Rubicam an additional share of its business following a review of its creative account.

Y&R, which already handles games and boys' toys, will now also work on the majority of Mattel's girls' toys products, as well the company's Radica line of computer and video games.

The agency won the additional work following a pitch against its fellow roster agency Ogilvy, which now only has Barbie as its retained Mattel client.

The new business will be worth around $30 million in billings to Y&R.
