The World: Paris - Bollore raises stake in Havas to almost 32 per cent

According to Reuters, during August, Vincent Bollore, the Havas chairman, has bought 5.17 million Havas shares, or 1.2 per cent of the group, increasing his direct or indirect stake to nearly 32 per cent.

Furthermore, regulatory and Autorites des Marches Financiers filings show he bought the shares for less than EUR4 each.

In March, Bollore said he had no plan to take his total share to more than 31 per cent, but his recent moves take him close to the 33 per cent threshold that would oblige him to launch a full takeover under French law.
