The World: Paris - JCDecaux wins billboard task for French rail company

JCDecaux SA has won a contract from the French national rail company Reseau Ferre de France to manage media across its non-station billboards.

The company, which is contracted to work on the business for eight years, will be responsible for 10,000 advertising billboards that generate around £21 million of revenue each year.

Jean-Charles Decaux, the chief executive of JCDecaux, said: "We made an offer based on the strategic direction that JCDecaux has pursued for a number of years, a consistent industrial policy, clear commitments in terms of design and maintenance, as well as an ambitious plan in regard to their commercial exploitation."
