The World: Paris - Lagardere to merge sales house with Le Monde

The French media group Lagardere has taken a 15 per cent stake in Le Monde, and is planning to merge its sales operation with Le Monde's.

Lagardere Active Publicite and Le Monde Publicite will combine their assets once the investment is completed at the end of the month. Publicis has a 49 per cent stake in both companies.

Le Monde's magazines include Telerama and La Vie. Sales will now be handled by Interdeco, the sales house owned by Lagardere's Hachette Filipacchi Medias.
