The World: Prague - Lagardere buys into Slovakian radio station Okey

The French media group Lagardere has established a presence in Slovakia by taking a minority stake in the music radio station Okey.

It has also launched its sales house, Regie Radio Music, into the country. Regie will not only sell ad space for Okey, but offer its services to other radio stations.

Okey, which launched in 2001, is the fifth-largest radio station in the Slovakian market, with a 6.5 per cent audience share.

Lagardere operates 21 radio stations, 18 of which are outside France. They include stations in the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia.
