The World: Prague - PHD awarded Unilever Central European media brief

Unilever has appointed the PHD network to handle media duties in Central and Eastern Europe.

The countries covered will include Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and the Slovak Republic. The remit excludes Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which was retained by Initiative after a review process that took place earlier in the year.

Barry Cupples, the OMD chief executive for Central and Eastern Europe, said: "We believe this is an excellent endorsement of our credentials across the region. We have the brightest people, the best processes and the right attitude to take on more. This review lasted five months and we have beaten the competition across all the key criteria."
