The World: Riga - Viasat expands pay-TV offering in three countries

Viasat, the Eastern European media company, has added ten channels to its premium pay-TV portfolio in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The new channels will be distributed through Viasat's satellite platform and include the public-service channel LNT in Latvia and the commercial channel LTV in Lithuania, as well as The Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies and the Russian national network, RTR.

Viasat's terrestrial channels, TV3 Estonia, TV3 Lithuania and Tango TV Lithuania, will also be made available on satellite.

The media company is owned by Modern Times Group and has 38,000 subscribers in the Baltic region.
