The World: Rome - Pella succeeds Grainger as Group M's chief executive

Group M Italy has appointed Claudio Pella as its chief executive.

Pella takes over from Dominic Grainger, who has held the position since March 2006. The previous chief executive, Marco Girelli, was forced to step down as part of the fallout of the legal battle between the WPP chief executive, Sir Martin Sorrell, and the former head of WPP Italy, Marco Benatti.

Pella joins from Pella & Partners, an Italian marketing and communications agency that he founded.

Before that, he was the president of Bozell Testa Pella Rossetti.
