The World: San Francisco - AT&T sues Time Warner Cable over ad campaign

The marketing battle between AT&T and Time Warner Cable over digital content services has grown more bitter with the phone company now suing the cable company for alleged false advertising.

The legal action follows the appearance of a TV print campaign and even an aircraft with a banner flying over AT&T's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. One of the print ads says: "If you're an AT&T customer, you're paying more in fees than with Time Warner Cable Digital Phone."

AT&T has filed a suit in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas asking for damages and an injunction against the ads. The company described them as "a triple whammy of deceit".
