The World: San Francisco - Crispin Porter lands Windows phone brief

Microsoft has shifted its Windows phone account out of McCann Erickson and into Crispin Porter & Bogusky without a pitch.

The agency's appointment comes ahead of the launch of Windows 7 in October, which is expected to contain a strong mobile element.

Crispin Porter was first appointed to the Microsoft roster in March 2008, alongside WPP's JWT.

Despite the appointment, McCann Erickson will still continue to work on a number of assignments for Microsoft, including its Xbox account.
