The World: San Francisco - Elizabeth Arden hands Goodby global brief

Goodby Silverstein & Partners has been chosen to handle strategic oversight and global marketing for Elizabeth Arden.

The company, which produces perfumes, fragrances and cosmetics, has hired the agency to increase its global presence as it promotes perfumes such as Britney Spears' Curious.

Last year, the company spent $30.2 million on media in the US, up from $20.9 million in 2003.

Elizabeth Arden has also chosen PHD to buy media, while OMD Worldwide in London will be responsible for international media planning.
