The World: Seoul - Leo Burnett appointed to handle Mirae Asset briefs

Mirae Asset, South Korea's leading independent financial group, has appointed Leo Burnett to handle its India and China accounts. The assignments are part of plans by the country's largest asset management operation to expand across Asia.

Burnett was awarded the business after a final pitch against TBWA\.

Mirae plans to launch in India during the second half of this year, having received approval from the country's regulatory authorities. A proposed move into China is at a less-advanced stage. Starcom is expected to be retained for media planning and buying.
