The World: Shanghai - BBH officially opens its office in Shanghai

Bartle Bogle Hegarty is opening its office in Shanghai.

The agency, which announced the launch in July last year, has spent time hiring senior staff. Arto Hampartsoumian, the former Wieden & Kennedy Tokyo managing director, has been appointed as the chief executive of the new agency.

He will be supported by Christine Ng, who is moving from BBH Singapore and will become the managing director.

John Hegarty (pictured), the chairman and worldwide creative director for BBH, said: "The potential that China presents to an international ad agency like BBH, as well as what we can offer in terms of pushing the limits of creativity, is phenomenal."
