The World: Shanghai - Beiersdorf reviews $50m Chinese media account

Beiersdorf, the toiletries maker, is reviewing its $50 million media planning and buying account in China.

The incumbent, Carat, which has the business in six other Asian markets, has been invited to repitch. It will defend the account in a process also involving Mediaedge:cia and Omnicom Media Group. The company has already seen agency credentials.

The skincare firm, whose products include Nivea, recently reported a dip in second-quarter profits as a result of increased marketing spend in China.
