The World: Shanghai - Carat lands $22m Bank of Communications task

Carat China has picked up the $22 million media account for the Bank of Communications' Pacific credit-card business in China.

Carat won the account following a pitch against ZenithOptimedia and Maxus. OMD, the incumbent on the account, did not repitch.

Carat will now oversee a series of integrated campaigns, including a TV, print, outdoor and digital campaign that will support the bank's sponsorship of the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

Seth Grossman, Carat's managing director for Eastern China, said: "This is a unique opportunity to leverage the bank's sponsorship and heritage in the city to build a deep engagement with Chinese consumers."
