The World: Shanghai - Hampartsoumian named as chief of BBH China

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has appointed Arto Hampartsoumian as the chief executive of its mainland China start-up in Shanghai. He joins the agency in November from his role as the managing director of Wieden & Kennedy Japan.

The Mandarin-speaking Hampartsoumian will work alongside the executive creative director, Steve Elricks, and the managing director, Christine Ng, both of whom have moved to Shanghai from BBH's Singapore office. Pete Heskett is set to complete the team as the head of planning, joining from TBWA\London in September.

Hampartsoumian has worked in Asian advertising for 12 years, starting his career at Ogilvy Hong Kong.
