World: Shanghai - JCDecaux expands operations into China

The outdoor advertising specialist JCDecaux is moving into mainland China in partnership with two of Shanghai's international airports.

JCDecaux Pearl & Dean, a subsidiary of JCDecaux Hong Kong, has agreed a deal to manage the interior and exterior advertising space for the next 15 years in Shanghai's Hongqiao and Pundong airports. The venture is made in collaboration with the Chinese media company Momentum.

The business will be handled by the newly formed JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising Company, and is expected to bring in additional revenues of around $640 million.
