The World: Shanghai - Nippon Paint puts £12m media up for review

Nippon Paint has confirmed it is putting its £12 million Chinese media planning and buying account out to pitch.

The company has informed Starcom, its incumbent agency, that it will not be asked to take part.

The pitchlist will be made up of four unnamed agencies, all of which have already been briefed by the client.

In the meantime, the company has also awarded an interim brief to Carat's Chinese office. However, details of the work have been withheld as "top secret".
