The World: Shanghai - Ogilvy wins pitch for Ikea advertising business

OgilvyOne and Ogilvy PR are to handle advertising for Ikea's living range products in China. The decision follows three rounds of pitches against two other agency pairings.

The extensive brief covers consultancy, digital creative, direct marketing, point-of-sale, print advertising and PR. Ogilvy's first work is expected in September.

Ikea has four stores in China, but on the back of strong growth in 2007, it is planning to open three more in 2008.
