The World: Shanghai - Publicis Groupe lifts online offer with EmporioAsia

Publicis Groupe has bolstered its online marketing capabilities in the Far East with the acquisition of the Shanghai-based EmporioAsia.

The agency will be rebranded as EmporioAsia Leo Burnett and will continue to be headed by its chief executive, Vincent Kobler.

The 35-strong digital specialist, founded in 1999, has a client list that includes Hilton Hotels, China Eastern Airlines, Philips and ING bank.

Maurice Levy, the Publicis Groupe chairman, said: "The talent and expertise of EmporioAsia will help us maintain a leading edge in what is largely considered to be one of the most promising ad markets in the world."
