The World: Shanghai - UK production houses earn £4m in China

UK production companies and post-production houses have won £4 million-worth of work from Chinese agencies, as a result of a forum held in Shanghai by the Advertising Producers Association last November.

Stink, RSA, Joyrider and Rushes are among the companies who were represented at the forum and have benefited from it.

It has also spurred three companies, RSA, Partizan and Smoke & Mirrors, to make plans to open offices in Shanghai.

Steve Davies, the ASA chief executive, said: "Our members have grasped the nettle and we aim to help them build on that." A further forum will be held in Beijing early in 2009.
