The World: Shanghai - Wong takes on China role for Havas Media

Havas Media, the parent company of Arena and MPG, has appointed Thomas Wong as the new chief executive of its Greater China region.

Wong replaces Paul McNeill in the role and will be responsible for leading the development of all of Havas Media's operations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He will be based in the agency's Shanghai office, and will report directly to Vishnu Mohan, the chief executive of Havas Media Asia-Pacific.

Wong has spent 25 years working in the advertising and media industry, spending time at agencies including McCann Erickson, Young & Rubicam and most recently as the chief executive of Carat.
