As well as taking full control of the creative department, he will also be given the additional role of overseeing Unilever's Knorr regional account.
Shabaz joined the agency as the associate creative director from BBDO Singapore in 2005. He was promoted to creative director within a year.
He said: "Friends and family berate me for working too hard, but, for me, it isn't really my work. It's my passion. Nevertheless, it's nice that JWT recognised my contributions."
