The World: Singapore - Batey threatened by Singapore Airlines review

Singapore Airlines is reviewing its account out of Batey, which has held the business for 34 years.

The loss of the account would threaten the future of the WPP-owned agency. Last year, Alan Fairnington, the Batey chief executive, said: "If Singapore Airlines disappeared today, Batey would be consumed by another WPP company."

The pitch does not extend to media arrangements, although the airline is expected to review media buying, which is currently handled by Mediaedge:cia, at some point in the future.
