The World: Singapore - Ogilvy and Bates set up unit to grab airline task

The WPP-owned Ogilvy and BatesAsia agencies in Singapore have created a special unit to pitch for the $60 million Singapore Airlines account.

The unit, called Gold, will be headed by the Ogilvy Asia-Pacific co-chairman Tham Kai Meng and the Bates regional chief operating officer, Digby Jones. Both will also continue in their current roles.

Singapore Airlines has announced it was reviewing the account out of Batey. It is repitching for the brief against Publicis, BatesAsia, TBWA\, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, DDB and Young & Rubicam.
