The World: Singapore - Y&R's Chanen resigns as Rebeschini returns

Rowan Chanen, Young & Rubicam's Asian creative chief, has quit without a job to go to.

His resignation follows the abrupt appointment of the former TBWA\Singapore art director Marcus Rebeschini as the chief creative officer for Asia.

Rebeschini returns after a spell at TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York, where he was an associate creative director.

The appointment is part of plans by Tony Granger, Y&R's global creative director, to revitalise Y&R's global creative output. Granger said: "We are recommitting to pushing our creative standards higher. Marcus will be an inspiring leader who will encourage creative collaboration."
