The World: Sydney - Banjo beats M&C Saatchi to Freeview business

Freeview, the consortium set up to promote digital television advertising for the free-to-air networks in Australia, has appointed Banjo to its ad account.

Banjo will take on all above-the-line and retail work for the television company, after winning the account in a final shoot-out against M&C Saatchi.

The agency also triumphed over McCann Worldgroup, Razor Group and Us and 303 Group in an earlier round of pitches.

Banjo was launched by John Singleton and Andrew Varasti in July last year, and has since won business from Pizza Hut, ACP Magazines and 1300 Flowers.
