The World: Sydney - Initiative wins Hyundai Aussie work from MediaCom

Hyundai is moving the media planning and buying on its Australia business from MediaCom to Initiative following a pitch.

Kevin McCann, the director of sales and marketing for Hyundai Australia, said: "The media landscape is fluid and we believe an agile approach is imperative to maintain and grow market share. We believe Initiative is best placed to partner with us."

Initiative's appointment for the Australia business was independent of the South Korean car-maker's hiring of the same agency in the US.

"The appointment rested on Initiative's merits, especially in regard to consumer analysis, within the Australian market," McCann added.
