The World: Sydney - Leo Burnett and DDB fight for Coles Supermarkets

Coles Supermarkets has reduced the shortlist for its advertising account to Leo Burnett and DDB.

Agencies have been involved in pitches for the AUS$90 million business for more than six months.

The shortlist was whittled down to the two agencies from a longlist that included JWT, George Patterson Y&R, Badjar Ogilvy and the incumbent, The Soloman Partnership.

The review process, which is being run out of the Coles Group's Melbourne headquarters, is expected to conclude before the end of 2008.

Meanwhile, Coles is believed to have signed a one-year extension with its media agency, Universal McCann.
