The World: Sydney - Leo Burnett's Marsh steps down to write sequel

Nigel Marsh is stepping down as the chief executive of Leo Burnett in Australia. He will now become chairman of the group.

The day-to-day running of the business will be handled by the Sydney managing director, Tim Castree, and the Melbourne managing director, Melinda Geertz.

They will report to the Hong Kong-based regional managing director, Michelle Kristula-Green.

Marsh will now take more time to write the follow-up to his 2005 book Fat, Forty and Fired, as well as concentrating on his public speaking career.
