The World: Sydney - M&C Saatchi lands Freedom Furniture business

M&C Saatchi has picked up the Freedom Furniture account following a pitch against BMF and DDB.

The agency will begin work on the account at the beginning of March. It will initially hold a two-year contract.

The home decorating retailer, which has a number of stores across Australia and New Zealand, parted company with its incumbent agency, The Foundry, towards the end of last year. The company spent about $8.5 million on advertising in the 12 months up to July 2008.

The shifting of the account will not affect Freedom Furniture's relationship with its media agency, Carat.
