The World: Tokyo - MCDecaux celebrates 15-year shopping mall deal

MCDecaux, a joint venture between JCDecaux and Mitsubishi, has been awarded a 15-year contract by Ito Yokado to install advertising displays in its shopping centres.

The company will equip 150 shopping centres with 2,000 advertising boards reaching more than 65 million people a month.

Jean-Charles Decaux, the co-chief executive officer of JCDecaux, said: "Following the signing of the bus shelter advertising contracts for Yokohama and Nagoya, this new contract underlines the strength of our offer in Japan. It also gives us the opportunity to accelerate our growth in the second-largest advertising market in the world."
