The World: Tokyo - Miyagawa becomes new chairman at Hakuhodo

Hakuhodo DY Holdings has reshuffled its senior management team by appointing Toshio Miyagawa (pictured) as the chairman and Hirokazu Toda as the president and chief executive.

The changes have been made following Hakuhodo's acquisition of Daiko Advertising and Yomiko Advertising in 2005. The appointments will be made at a shareholders' general meeting in June.

Miyagawa began his career with Hakuhodo in 1972. He became the creative director in 1988 and has held numerous positions including the general manager, the senior managing director and, most recently, the president and chief executive.
