The World: Tokyo - Publicis consolidates Japan businesses into Beacon

Publicis is overhauling its Japanese operations by folding Publicis Japan into Beacon Communications, its joint venture with Dentsu, and Fallon Toyko.

Most of the Publicis Japan business will go into Beacon, while its L'Oreal teams will join Fallon. At the same time, the public relations company Manning Selvage & Lee, which has been managed by Publicis Japan, becomes a separately run entity.

Bertrand Siguier, the Publicis Groupe executive vice-president, said: "Our clients will benefit enormously from the strengthening of our operations in Japan. By joining teams at Publicis Japan with Beacon, we will be ensuring that clients have access to a richer and larger talent pool."
